RUSTICO LA MERIDIANA

For lovers of skiing and mountain sports, relaxation and contact with nature, RUSTICO LA MERIDIANA will be the perfect nest to stay with family or friends, surrounded by a breathtaking landscape.

This rustic house, which has been skilfully renovated, has maintained the flavour of the typical houses of the area. At the entrance, the sunny terrace will be your favourite spot in the summer, where you can dine al fresco, enjoy the sunrises and sunsets surrounded by greenery.

As you enter, the cosy living room invites you to sit on the comfortable sofa and armchair to chat with friends or read a book, warmed by the warmth of the fireplace or wood-burning stove!

The classically styled corner kitchen is complete with everything you need to prepare meals just like at home: dine on local produce on the table for 4.

Going up the stairs, you reach the sleeping area: there are two bedrooms, both double. Two chests of drawers in one, a wardrobe and a chest of drawers in the other are ideal for storing the wardrobe of the whole group. The spectacular mountain panorama can be seen from all the windows. 

The spacious and lovely bathroom with shower is in the perfect style of the house. There is also a second service bathroom.

At the back of the house, you will make a discovery: in the old wood-fired oven, which is in perfect working order, you can bake bread and pizza just like in the old days!

A towel set is included for each person, together with bed sheets and blankets; we also give you a courtesy kit. We also leave a basket with the necessary for a breakfast.

Any commercial business is forbidden inside the apartment.

Guests have the access of the whole apartment.

Campello is a hamlet of the municipality of Faido in the beautiful Leventina Valley. Situated at 1362 m, this village is just a few minutes from Carì, a popular ski resort in the canton of Ticino. Here you will find a ski area with ski slopes, a snow park, ski lifts, bars and restaurants, and a ski school, active all winter long.

The village of Carì and its surroundings are an attraction in all seasons: there are numerous hiking and mountain-biking routes in the valley, and for climbing enthusiasts the "Chironico Boulder" is just a few minutes away. For ice enthusiasts, Faido has an ice rink for skating and curling.

One of the most visited natural landscapes in the area is the marvellous Piumogna waterfalls, very popular with tourists in summer.

For mountain lovers, there are many trekking routes on the peaks of Pizzo Pettine, Pizzo Molare and Pizzo Forno.

Faido, the largest commune in the Leventina region, can be reached in 20 minutes by car: here you will find 3 supermarkets, a famous bakery that bakes typical products, 2 pharmacies, a butcher's shop and a dairy selling local products.

A few minutes' drive away, you will reach the "Ristorante Pensione Carì", where you can sample typical local dishes. In Faido, you can dine at the "Marisa Osteria", at the "Ristorante Pedrinis", at the "Osteria Ventisette alla Birreria".

Parking:

You can park in the free public parking spaces available in the village, just a few metres from the house.

How to get:

By car, either from the south (Bellinzona) or the north (Erstfeld) from the A2 motorway take exit 43-Faido towards Faido and set your GPS: from here continue without ever turning off along the road to Carì, and you will reach Campello in about 20 minutes.

By train, from Bellinzona take the train in the direction of Zurich/Basel and get off at Faido station. From here, take bus no. 119 in the direction of "Carì, Paese" for 17 stops and get off at the "Campello" stop. You will reach the flat in a few minutes on foot.
