The San Salvatore mountain emerges imposingly from the sweet waters of the lake of Lugano: this is the wonderful picture you can admire from the windows of LUCE DI LAGO!

Located in an elegant panoramic building in a hilly and renowned area of Lugano, the picturesque Ruvigliana, this four-room apartment has a magical light and will surprise you with its furnishings chosen with flair and originality to bring you into a contemporary context between design pieces and vintage pieces.

These include the iconic Arco lamp which lights up the dining table for 6 in the large living room. This large, bright room invites you to sit on the elegant white sofa for movie nights, flat screen TV, reading and chatting with friends.

You won't be able to resist taking a photo (or a Polaroid?) in front of the green floral wallpaper, pretending to talk on the phone from the previous era, or in front of the record player! 

From here you can access the terrace, which enjoys a splendid view of the lake and the city of Lugano. Have lunch or dinner outside in fine weather, on the outdoor table for 6, or relax on the sofa!

Next door, the large kitchen looks like a stage for spectators/guests, separated by a glass window: those who will try their hand at cooking will have everything they need, and in the middle there is a dining table for 4.

There are 3 bedrooms, all with lake views: the large master bedroom, with TV, wardrobe and chest of drawers, the second double bedroom with wardrobe, TV and access to the terrace, and the twin bedroom with partial view furnished with twin beds, wardrobe and a desk, making it perfect for children and teenagers as well as for a business stay.

There are two bathrooms, one with a bathtub combined with a shower and a second with a modern shower, embellished with a Bisazza mosaic wall in bright green shades.

A towel set is included for each person, together with bed sheets and blankets; we also give you a courtesy kit. We also leave a basket with the necessary for a breakfast.

Surroundings:

Ruvigliana is a pretty village nestling in the hills of Lugano, enjoying plenty of sunshine and wonderful views of the lake and surrounding mountains. The Parco Ciani and the Lido di Lugano, with its indoor swimming pool, summer outdoor swimming pool, lakeside beach and tennis courts, are a 6-minute drive away; Lugano's historic centre is 10 minutes away. The picturesque village of Gandria can be reached in 7 minutes by car, or on foot from Castagnola (5 minutes by car) along the beautiful "Sentiero degli Ulivi".

The summit of Mount Bré can be reached in 10 minutes by car, or for those who love walking in 50 minutes along one of the paths.

How to get there:

By car, from the A2 motorway take the Lugano Sud junction and set the GPS following Strada di Gandria or Strada 2: in 15 minutes you will reach the flat.

By train, from Lugano railway station take the bus N.2 or N. 4 direction "Castagnola, Capolinea" for 3 stops and get off at the stop "Centro". From here, take the bus N.12 direction "Brè, Paese" for 11 stops and get off at the stop "Ruvigliana, Paese". In 3 minutes on foot you will be at the flat.
