CASA ARGENTINA

Take a dip in the past and immerse yourself in the welcoming atmosphere of CASA ARGENTINA, an apartment located on the first floor of a typical Leventina house from 1877, in the small hamlet of Calonico. Furnished with the taste of the past, recovering and enhancing antique furniture, CASA ARGENTINA has the vintage flavor of grandmothers' houses, where everything is designed for convivial life: in the living room the two sofas next to the sideboard they are perfect for chatting with family or friends and continuing during dinner on the round 6-seater table. A sofa also becomes a sofa bed for the night if you are in a group!
The independent kitchen, graceful and with a classic style, is fully equipped and equipped with everything you need to cook and serve meals.
The large master bedroom, with a double bed, a cupboard and a wardrobe, has a delightful sitting corner with a table and two chairs next to the window to read a book and spend moments of relaxation and privacy. The second bedroom has a single bed.
A lovely outdoor area with table and chairs will be perfect for enjoying the coolness during the summer season.
The bathroom with shower ends the apartment.

A towel set is included for each person, together with bed sheets and blankets; we also give you a courtesy kit. We also leave a basket with the necessary for a breakfast. 
Free Wi-Fi for the guests.

Any commercial business is forbidden inside the apartment.

Nearby: Calonico is a picturesque mountain village, where time seems to have stopped. Its square comes alive in the summer, much loved by tourists from all over the world.

From Calonico there are numerous hiking trails for walking and mountain biking in the summer and for skiing with skins and snowshoeing in winter.
A small grocery store "Da Paolina" is a few steps from the house. If you find it closed, you can ring the bell.

Faido is reachable in 15 minutes by car. In Faido there are 3 supermarkets, a famous bakery that produces typical products, 2 pharmacies, a butcher and a dairy of local products.

Among the most visited naturalistic landscapes in the area there are the wonderful Piumogna waterfalls, very popular with tourists in summer. For mountain lovers, there are many trekking routes on the peaks of Pizzo Pettine, Pizzo Molare, Pizzo Forno and Carì, famous for its ski area which is very popular during the winter.


Parking lots:
You can stop for a few minutes next to the house to unload the car (without blocking the road network) and then you can park in the free municipal posters.


How to get:

From the A2 motorway, reach the Faido-Carì exit, towards Lavorgo. Take the Moncucco road, continue on the Areta road and take the Calonico road. Set the following coordinates on the GPS to reach the house: 46.45150314; 8.840513012.

If you are by train, go to Lavorgo station (train towards Erstfeld) and from there take postbus no. 124 direction "Sobrio, Paese" for 3 stops to the stop "Calonico, Paese".
