VILLA MARAINI

In a central and panoramic position in the heart of Lugano stands VILLA MARAINI, sumptuous Art Nouveau villa of 1908 with exceptional lake view, wisely renovated in 2021 maintaining the historicity of the building and furnished with modernity and inspiration.

Crossing the garden a colorful sculpture of a giraffe welcomes guests, giving an advance of creativity that the building reveals inside.

The villa has 4 entrances. Entering from the central one, you walk along a corridor that leads to the large living room. The canvases with Banksy's works begin here, and are the trait d'union between the rooms all different and unique.

The sofa offers comfortable seating for 5 people, and together with the two ottomans makes a perfect cinema area, where you can enjoy HD movies on the 65-inch TV.

On the left is the modern kitchen equipped with everything you need to prepare lunches and dinners, and also spacious for breakfast, a quick snack or an aperitif on the counter, sitting on the stools with special shapes.

On the right the dining room, where nature is the protagonist with a wall entirely green: the table and its green and black chairs can accommodate up to 10 people with a view overlooking the lake of Lugano.

The mezzanine floor ends with a bathroom equipped with shower, anticipated by an important closet with 8 doors, and with a double bedroom, the Las Vegas room, with decidedly original pieces of furniture. Once again, the view of the lake is full and suggestive.

Continuing to the back entrance, there is a second foyer with a staircase, access to the basement and second floor. it looks like a stage: the cello in the center is illuminated by the beautiful cascading chandelier, reminiscent of spotlights. The decorative climbers seem to climb the wall covered by the red tropical patterns.

Going up you enter the sleeping area. Crossing the threshold you will have the feeling of entering the set of a Marvel movie: the dark fiberglass spiderman seems ready for action surrounded by the white doors, looking at the black wall and ceiling that gives the illusion of a secret passage to a 3D gallery.

Again, each room has a different theme, making it unique and special.

On the left is the Ciliegio room, overlooking the lake and the open view to Melide in shades of pink and gray, with its private closet that allows access to the whimsical red bathroom with the particular tapestry in the walls of the shower.

In the middle, the game room overlooking the lake with TV, playstation and video games available for the kids, an ideal space for the family.

Also on the left side, the room Pink, large and bright with a window facing the lake is a French door that allows access to the terrace divided between the lake and garden. Enjoy the view even when lying down, on the double bed and on the powder pink chaise longue.

On the right, there is the Green room, the second master bedroom, with its wall with green cubes and palm trees: this room too has its own private walk-in closet, perfect for the most well-stocked wardrobe. The walk-in closet leads to the master bathroom with two sinks a 6-person whirlpool tub and a shower.

Back up the beautiful stone staircase and down two floors you reach the basement, with an area dedicated to wellness: exercise in the fitness room with bike, elliptical and treadmill, finish your workout in the spacious 8-person sauna and finally relax with a long shower in the modern bathroom next door.

On this floor there is also a laundry room with washing machine and dryer.

On request you can also use the kitchen (at an additional cost of 60 chf for cleaning).

Next to the kitchen there is a room that can be used as an extra room, where you can accommodate your domestic staff, preserving mutual privacy.

The whole floor is windowed and has a forced ventilation and dehumidification system with electronic management.

A set of towels is included in the living room for each person, along with sheets and blankets and a courtesy kit. We also leave a basket with the necessary for a breakfast.

Wifi is free and available to guests.

Guests have use of the double garage and the area in front of the garage to park their cars. Total seven parking spaces

The garden, to enjoy in the summer and on mild sunny days during the winter, is carefully maintained by a trusted gardener. 

The gardener can enter the property during the stay of guests.

Check-in and Check-out:

Check-in is from 3pm to 8pm. Check-out is from 8.00 to 10.00. We kindly ask you to notify us 48 hours/ max 24 hours before your arrival time.

A member of our staff will be waiting for you to check in at the time you have given, show you where to park, how to get in, and take you on a short tour of the house.

For check-out, we kindly ask you to let us know about 24 hours before your departure time and a member of our staff will come to you to check the flat and greet you on your departure.

Surroundings:

VILLA MARAINI is in a strategic position to visit the city of Lugano and its surroundings, 300 meters from the LAC, via Nassa 10 minutes walk from the old town, 2 5 minutes walk from the station and 5 minutes drive from the motorway exit.

The renowned Via Nassa, Lugano's shopping street, is just a few minutes away, with its boutiques and shops of the most famous fashion brands.

The lakeside promenade can be reached in a few minutes by crossing the street and going down Via Motta.

How to get there:

By car, from the A2 motorway take the Lugano Sud exit: in 5/10 minutes you will reach the Villa.

By train, from Lugano train station walk 6 minutes, or take the bus N.2 / 4 for 1 stop and get off at Lugano, Tassino.
