Nestled in the picturesque setting of this quaint village, this spacious apartment, arranged on two levels, is equipped with all the comforts for even the longest vacation. The living room welcomes you with a comfortable sofa, which becomes a single bed for the night (Please note: the sofa bed is not prepared for your arrival, as we consider it only fair that you use the sofa during non-sleeping hours. You will find sheets, pillows and blankets in the cupboard/shelf closest to the sofa). The kitchen is modern and complete with everything you need to prepare lunches and dinners just like at home. There are two bedrooms: a double, perfect for a couple, and a small bedroom with a bunk bed and a single bed, with a bouldering wall for children and teens. There are also three bathrooms, two with a tub and one with a shower, giving everyone their own privacy, making the apartment ideal for both families and groups of friends.

The apartment has a nice sauna for guests to relax in after a day of hiking or biking.

The outdoor area is spacious, equipped with a barbecue, tables and chairs for outdoor dining, and deck chairs for sunbathing or enjoying the coolness of the valley, depending on the season.

A towel set is included for each person, together with bed sheets and blankets; we also give you a courtesy kit. We also leave a basket with the necessary for a breakfast.

The house does not have private parking, but there are free public parking spaces nearby.

Any commercial business is forbidden inside the apartment.

Guests have the access of the whole apartment.

Access:

To enter the apartment you have to do a SELF CHECK-IN: we will not be there at your arrival, but upon confirmation of your booking you will receive an e-mail with the INSTRUCTIONS, with photographs and VIDEO for doing check-in by yourself; you can call us if you need help.

Camedo is the village that is home to one of the stations through which the famous Ferrovia Vigezzina (Vigezzina Railway) passes, and from which the famous Trenino del Foliage (Foliage Train) passes through the Centovalli and shows the incredible colors of autumn from a unique perspective. Hiking and mountain biking trails start here, such as La Via del Mercato, 12 km from Camedo to Intragna, an ancient mule track from which goods once passed.

Visit the striking New Train Depot, decorated with a large mural by artist Tamara Giovannacci, where you can have lunch at special events in partnership with Osteria Grütli.

Camedo is 30 minutes from Locarno and a stone's throw from the Italian border. The beautiful Piedmontese town of Domodossola is only a 40-minute drive away, and can also be reached by train, the terminus of the scenic railway.

How to get there:

By car, from Locarno reach Losone, via Ascona, and continue along the Via Arbigo, then take the Via Cantonale: in 30 minutes you will reach the house.

By public transportation, from Locarno station you can take the train direction Camedo for 11 stops and get off at Camedo station, or from the station "Locarno Sant'Antonio centrale" take the train direction Domodossola for 9 stops and get off at Camedo. From the station you reach the house in 8 minutes on foot.
