An oasis of peace surrounded by greenery, lush nature and its pleasant melodies are what you will enjoy by staying at IL NIDO DI MARIA! 

This lovely and cozy apartment is located on the second floor of a semi-detached house in a sunny residential neighborhood of Losone-Campagna where quiet reigns supreme. 

To welcome you, a bright and spacious living room, furnished with sofa, armchair, library (books in Italian, German, English, French) and smart TV for relaxation after a day of sightseeing, trekking between mountains and valleys or water activities (river, lake).

From the balcony, you can admire the enchanting landscape from the relaxing garden to Lake Delio, lit up at night, while enjoying an aperitif outside. 

The dining table seats four.

The fully furnished kitchen is separate. You will find glass-ceramic hob, dishwasher, capacious refrigerator with freezer, and everything you need to prepare lunches and dinners just like at home.

The double bedroom is perfect for two people (couple, family members, friends), the width of the bed being 180 cm. The capacious built-in closet will be able to serve you as a wardrobe even during long vacations. 

Another room used as a fitness area with different equipment will allow you to work out or relax during your stay.

The apartment has two bathrooms, one with a bathtub and washing machine, the other with a shower.

A set of towels is included in the living room for each guest, along with sheets, blankets and toiletries. We also leave a basket with the necessities for a breakfast.

You will equally have free Wi-Fi at your disposal.

Free private outdoor parking is located on the side of the house.

You will also enjoy, both in the shade of the trees and in the sun, the large and relaxing garden furnished with table, small table and chairs, deck chairs, hammock and where adult tortoises live free while babies are in their nursery. You will discover the pleasure of admiring these " zen " reptiles that are not to be handled or fed (you will find more details in the full rules).

No animals are allowed.

There are two bicycles available to guests (the key to the bike storage room is in the mailbox).

Any commercial business is forbidden inside the apartment.

To enter the apartment you have to do a SELF CHECK-IN: we will not be there at your arrival, but upon confirmation of your booking you will receive an e-mail with the INSTRUCTIONS, with photographs and VIDEO for doing check-in by yourself; you can call us if you need help.

Nearby:

MARIA'S NEST is surrounded by greenery. In a few minutes' walk you can reach the Maggia River where you will also find free parking. Along a pedestrian/cycle path, you can discover natural beauty and it will also be possible to cool off on hot summer days. 

A little more than a kilometer away, you will find the popular leisure area the Meriggio with its " RIVER Merisg Lounge & Sport" where you can rent umbrellas and deck chairs, benefit from catering services and the possibility of organizing private events.

Next to the " Snack-bar " is the reputed Golf Gerre Losone and just beyond that, the Scuderia alle Gerre.

The municipality of Losone is located in the district of Locarno, also known as Locarnese. It is well served by numerous bars, restaurants, supermarkets and the Mercato Cattori shopping centre whose history dates back to 1904! 

There are picturesque streets with traditional buildings and a charming historic centre, but also modern facilities and services for residents and visitors.

Losone is only a 5-minute drive from the picturesque lakeside of Ascona and 7 minutes from the Lido di Ascona. It is also only 5 minutes from Monte Verità and its Foundation, a centre for congresses, meetings and cultural activities.

The city of Locarno, with its famous Piazza Grande, location of the Pardo Locarno Film Festival, the Lungolago Locarno Muralto, its shopping streets and restaurants, its Lido and its beautiful parks, is only 8/10 minutes by car. In Locarno at the marina you can take boats to the main resorts on Lake Maggiore. In 20 minutes you can reach the Valverzasca dam and continue with beautiful hikes through the villages along the river and its crystal-clear waters.  Lugano can be reached in about 45 minutes by car.

The whole area is known for its scenic beauty, with the surrounding mountains and lakes offering numerous opportunities for outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling and water sports.

How to get there:

By car, from the A13 highway take the Centovalli/Onsernone/Vallemaggia/Losone exit. The set the GPS: in 12 to 15 minutes you will reach the apartment.

By train, from Locarno station take the train to Solduno station and then take bus No. 7 direction "Losone, Caserma" for 7 stops. Get off at the "Arbigo" stop and walk 5 minutes to the apartment. Or from Locarno station take the No.7 for 15 stops.
