A historic village with cobbled lanes, a communal washhouse, wood and stone, surrounded by the mountains of the Leventina Valley: this is the village of Osco, where you can stay in CASA MARUSCA.

Casa Marusca is located on the 1st floor of a typical house in the valley, has the rustic flavor of a cabin and is as cozy as grandma's house!

The living room is furnished with a sofa and armchair, and is a perfect corner for chatting with friends and watching a movie after a day of hiking.

The comfortable sofa also becomes a double bed for the night. The kitchen is separate, spacious and bright, equipped with everything you need to cook like at home and eat as a family on the dining table with bench, as in mountain lodges.

The bedroom has two single beds and a capacious closet for storing vacation wardrobes.

A bathroom with shower completes the apartment.

A set of towels is included in the living room for each person, along with sheets and blankets and toiletries. We also leave a basket with the necessities for a breakfast.

The house does not have private parking, but you can park in Osco's free public parking lots.

Osco is a picturesque village in the Leventina Valley where time seems to stand still among typical houses made of wood and stone, the wash house, the Municipal House.

Here it feels like being high in the mountains, albeit only 40 minutes from the nearest town, Bellinzona. 

Faido, the largest municipality in the Leventina, can be reached in 13 minutes by car: here you will find 3 supermarkets, a famous bakery that bakes typical products, 2 pharmacies, a butcher's shop and a dairy of local products.

Among the most visited natural landscapes in the area are the wonderful Piumogna waterfalls, which are very popular with tourists in summer.

For mountain lovers, there are many hiking trails on the peaks of Pizzo Pettine, Pizzo Molare, Pizzo Forno and Carì, famous for its popular ski area during the winter, which can be reached in 15 minutes.

Chironico, a major destination for climbers from all over Europe, is 25 minutes away: this is where many sportsmen come to boulder in the Bouldering Area created thousands of years ago. 

How to get there:

By car, either from the south (Bellinzona) or the north (Erstfeld) from the A2 highway take exit 43 - Faido towards Faido and set the GPS: in 13 minutes you will reach the apartment.

By train, from Lugano or Bellinzona take the S10 train towards Airolo for 7 stops and get off at the "Faido" stop. From here take bus No. 118 direction "Osco, Paese" for 6 stops and get off at "Osco, Paese."
