This rustic cottage surrounded by meadows and forests is the perfect nest for families, groups of friends and couples who love the outdoors and the mountains and are passionate about outdoor activities. Furnished with the essentials, recovering objects and furniture from the past, this chalet will make those looking for simple, no-frills accommodation far from the noise of the city fall in love!

The first floor consists of a single space: the living area, with a kitchenette with sink and gas stove and a wood stove, to prepare lunches and dinners as at home, and a table for 4; next to it, the sleeping area reminiscent of that of refuge, with two wooden bunk beds side by side, so as to create two double beds. There is also a crib for the little ones. A closet provides storage for the wardrobe for the whole group.

On the ground floor, to the external staircase, is the bathroom with shower, inside the woodshed room.

In the garden, there is a beautiful table with wooden benches to have a meal in the open air, a barbecue at your disposal, all this enjoying the clear air and the green meadows of this magical valley.

ATTENTION: The apartment has no heating system, only a wood stove!

Quality bedding, towels and a courtesy kit are provided. 

We also leave a gift basket with some necessary items for your first breakfast.

Any commercial activity within the apartment is prohibited.

The apartment does not have private parking, but you can park in the vacant parking spaces on the street.

BAITA DEL FAGGIO is located in Moneto (920 m), a hamlet of Palagnedra, a village in the Centovalli.

The village of Palagnedra lies on a large terrace located at 660 meters. The core is located above the railway station, about 1 hour's walk away, of the famous Vigezzina-Centovalli railway that crosses 83 legendary and scenic bridges and viaducts.

Palagnedra is home to one of the most interesting spots in the area: the reservoir and power plant dam. Along the road that connects the center of the village to the lake, you can admire iron sculptures by artist Alain Garnier. Palagnedra will also surprise you with its forest reserve, beloved by geology and mineralogy enthusiasts and the perfect place to admire the red foliage of the beech trees in autumn.

The Centovalli is a paradise for those who love hiking, mountain biking, and forest walks, with its many well-maintained trails.

A popular place for hikers is Intragna, the main town of the Centovalli, where the highest church bell in Ticino (65 m high) is also located.

How to arrive: 

By car, you reach the lodge in 40 min from Locarno, 1 hour from Bellinzona and 1 hour 20 min from Lugano. 

By train, from Camedo station you can walk 4 km to the lodge.
