ACERO LAKE VIEW is a welcoming studio apartment in Piazzogna, in the heart of Gambarogno, perfect for a romantic getaway or a relaxing break on the shores of Lake Maggiore, just 20 minutes from Locarno. The space has been thoughtfully designed to offer comfort and practicality, while two large windows fill the apartment with natural light. The living area features a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need, a dining table for four where you can enjoy meals together while admiring the garden and surrounding scenery, and a comfortable armchair, perfect for reading or unwinding after a day exploring the area. Next to it is the sleeping area, furnished with a practical foldaway double bed consisting of two single beds, a clever solution that makes the most of every square metre.

A wardrobe in the area leading to the bathroom provides space for clothes and personal belongings, while the bathroom is complete with a shower and bidet. Guests also have access to a private washing machine, particularly convenient for longer stays.

The true highlight of the studio is its enchanting garden overlooking the lake, furnished with a table, two chairs and a barbecue, where a beautiful maple tree gives the property its name. A peaceful little retreat to enjoy for most of the year, from outdoor breakfasts and aperitifs to sunny lunches and dinners accompanied by the colours of the sunset.

High-quality bed linen, towels, and a courtesy kit are provided. You will also find a welcome basket with essentials for your first breakfast.

The apartment does not have private parking, but free public parking spaces are available nearby.

ACERO LAKE VIEW is the perfect starting point for discovering the wonders of Lake Maggiore and Canton Ticino. Just a few minutes from the apartment is the beautiful Gambarogno Botanical Park (5 minutes by car), renowned for its spectacular blooms of camellias, magnolias and azaleas. The charming villages of San Nazzaro and Vira Gambarogno (10–15 minutes) are also well worth visiting, with their picturesque lanes, small beaches and romantic lake views.

Crossing the Magadino Plain, you can reach Locarno (25 minutes), with its famous Piazza Grande, the Madonna del Sasso Sanctuary and its lively lakeside promenade, as well as nearby Ascona (30 minutes), known for its elegant squares and terraces overlooking Lake Maggiore. Don't miss an excursion to the spectacular Verzasca Valley, home to the famous Ponte dei Salti bridge in Lavertezzo, the emerald-green waters of the river and the impressive Vogorno Dam (35 minutes).

How to get there:

By car: From the A13 motorway in Locarno, continue to the exit leading onto "Strada cantonale", which runs alongside the airport. Continue along "Via Cantonale" and follow your GPS directions: you will reach the apartment in approximately 10–15 minutes.

By public transport: From Locarno railway station, take the train to Cadenazzo. Then take PostBus 350 towards "Dirinella, Confine" for 13 stops and get off at "Vira, Paese". From there, take PostBus 330 towards "Ronco (Gambarogno) Paese" for 4 stops and get off at "Piazzogna, Paese". The apartment is a 7-minute walk from the bus stop.
